Ark Expansion Project

Ark’s Expansion is Complete!

Construction is finished on Ark’s building expansion. The two-year project increased capacity by 40% at the crisis care center. The project doubled the capacity of the infant care program to eight babies and added a classroom for up to 12 three-year-olds per day.

Mayor Lloyd Winnecke proclaimed May 20th, 2014 as “Ark Crisis Child Care Center Day” and read the official proclamation before helping cut the ribbon on the new classroom. Numerous board members, sponsors, donors and supporters were also on hand for the ribbon cutting.

The expansion was made possible by grants from: The Women’s Fund of Vanderburgh County, Old National Bank, Alcoa Warrick Operations and the Vanderburgh Community Foundation.
